Real Time Data
Hourly averaged meteorological data for the current deployment of the Stratus buoy are recieved via Service Argos four times daily. Preliminary data is displayed in unedited form as time series and is available for download as ASCII files.
A note on resolution, and one on power.
Stratus VII
The seventh Stratus Ocean Reference Station was deployed in October 2006, and recovered on October 29, 2007, from the RV Ron Brown.
Stratus VIII
The eighth Stratus Ocean Reference Station was deployed on October 27,2007.
Stratus IX
The ninth Stratus Ocean Reference Station was deployed at 18:46 UTC on October 25, 2008 at about 19°S, 85°W, in 4530m of water.
