Completed Project: Pan-American Climate Study (PACS)

This experiment, studying air-sea interaction in the eastern tropical Pacific, began in April 1997. The UOP Group deployed two fully-instrumented surface moorings as the centerpiece of the experiment. The moorings were re-set in December 97, and recovered in September, 1998. Funding for PACS was provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
